Our History
Our Charitable Activities
Lee Guardianship Services, Inc. is a not for profit Florida Corporation organized to benefit local indigent elders, mentally ill and developmentally disabled individuals in need of guardianship services. Lee Guardianship Services, Inc. also serves as the Trustee of the Lee Guardianship Services, Inc. Pooled Trust.
Each year, the charity accepts grant applications from registered professional guardians who have provided pro bono services. To be eligible, you must have provided pro bono services to a ward and meet the following criteria:
- Be a registered professional guardian in Lee County; or
- Be a registered professional guardian in any county in Florida with a ward who placed funds into the Lee Guardianship Services, Inc. Pooled Trust.
Although we are fortunate in Lee County to have a funded public guardian, the cases needing attention by professional life care managers seem to far exceed available funding. It is the goal of Lee Guardianship Services, Inc. to help make up this shortfall and we are the only local pooled trust program to benefit local residents by providing grants for professional guardian services.
We have also provided support to the following local chartiable organizations as they all provide stellar support or protection to our disabled local community:
